A community of coaches to develop a community of leaders
On January 11 and 12, we headed to the Liberté Living Lab in Paris for our annual event, Turningpoint Coach Days. This is a unique opportunity for the European coach community to meet face-to-face and to connect digitally for the overseas coaches in the Americas and Asia. This was the first year we tested this hybrid format, and it proved to be a great success.
“The Coach Days are for me a “must” event of this community. A “generative” and “regenerative” meeting like the Leadership we encourage! Generative and regenerative of relationships, inspirations, sharing of tools and practices, of a community that is always more alive and united. Thank you for the 2023 edition, a perfect blend of the climate fresk, Gestalt and an innovative reflection on Leadership.” Sophie de Soras – Senior Executive Coach in Paris
The event opened with a global presentation to align the strategic vision for the coming years, followed by a panel discussion, facilitated by Ana Loback, were we welcomed Christophe Babule – Chief Financial Officer of L’Oréal Group, Fadzi Whande – Head of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion at UNHCR and Konrad Grüss – General Manager of IKEA System, to share their visions of the challenges of tomorrow’s leader: inclusion, diversity, vision and transparency were the key words of this roundtable.
Then, Olivier Pelleau, Turningpoint Founder and Partner, introduced the notion of generative leadership, which takes on its full meaning: “It is important that leaders work on themselves to be ready to open up to others and to the common good.
This annual event was the perfect opportunity to celebrate our reunion with a festive and fun evening in our offices in Paris.
The next day, the coaches were able to discover and participate in the Climate Fresk workshops to raise awareness about climate change. These collaborative workshops shed light on the complexity of climate change and the consequences of human activity on our environment. Communicating the importance of climate issues to activate top leaders has become a priority for Turningpoint.
To close these two days, the coaches were able to deepen their knowledge on the Gestalt approach, an intervention led by Bridget Farrands, former founder of Turningpoint in the UK, and today, Director, Figure Ground Consulting.
A big thanks to all the speakers, Turningpoint coaches and our team for making this last Coach Days edition a success!
