The 2024 “Rethinking Work” award ceremony News
An evening full of meaningful exchanges and reflections!
The 2024 “Rethinking Work (“Penser le Travail“) Award Ceremony, held on October 9, 2024, was marked by moments of humor, engaging discussions, and inspiring encounters.
Organized by Sciences Po and the newspaper Le Monde, and with the support of Turningpoint, this event embodies an essential purpose: to explore the transformations shaping the world of work and address the challenges faced by public and private organizations alike.
More than just an award, Rethinking Work is an invitation to discover new perspectives on work, foster collective reflection, and encourage meaningful dialogue. By critically examining the everyday challenges of human resources and management, it seeks to spark innovative ideas to reshape professional practices.
This award does not merely reflect the realities of today; it also inspires and informs the thinking of students in the HR Master’s program at Sciences Po’s School of Management and Impact — future change-makers in the corporate world.
The three finalists’ works are all deeply connected to lived experiences, individuals, and the community, addressing critical issues. This award symbolizes openness and the bridging of diverse perspectives.
We congratulate the winner, “Travail à Vif”(roughly translated as “Work Unfiltered”) by Thomas Périlleux (Eres, 2023). This book strongly resonates with our work as coaches. A clinician and sociologist, the author examines workplace suffering through testimonials from his patients, offering concrete solutions to rethink and improve the system.
We also wish to applaud the two other finalists:
A heartfelt thank you to all participants and partners who contributed to the success of this event!
Stay tuned for upcoming initiatives that will continue these vital and inspiring discussions.
