With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Massimo Bandinelli, an esteemed and cherished friend, colleague, and fellow Senior Executive Coach, who passed away on August 3, after a long and brave battle with cancer. Massimo’s legacy of wisdom, dedication, and boundless compassion leaves a lasting mark on the Turningpoint coaching community and all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him.
Prior to becoming an Executive Coach in 2006, Massimo amassed an impressive professional experience in the telecom and tech industry, quickly rising the ranks and becoming Division Director and CEO of two companies within the service industry in Italy.
Massimo became an integral part of the Turningpoint Italy coach team from the very start, in June 2017. As an already accomplished and experienced executive coach, he swiftly became an immense support to Agnès Perrone, Managing Director of Turningpoint Italy, when launching the first large-scale L’Oréal programs in the country. A cornerstone of the team, and with highly multifaceted skills in program design, facilitation, and individual coaching, he played a pivotal role in several other landmark projects as well, such as Loro Piana, Kering, Bulgari, LVMH, to mention a few. Massimo was known as an “all-rounder” whose agility allowed him to adapt to any context, client or program and act as an exceptional sparring partner and guide to both colleagues and clients.
Massimo’s academic journey was equally exceptional, boasting an MBA from Yale with a focus on neurosciences, and a BA from Berklee College of Music in Boston.
This well-rounded background allowed Massimo to create a unique blend of disciplines that enriched his coaching approach. Beyond his coaching abilities, he was a gifted musician, harmonizing his passion for music with his dedication to enriching lives.
Colleagues and fellow coaches describe Massimo’s unwavering support and empathetic presence, as well as embodying a unique blend of depth and lightness. Massimo was a compassionate listener, a kind soul, and a wealth of unassuming wisdom. Demonstrating true inclusiveness and warmth, Massimo embodied all the qualities of a Turningpoint coach and an extraordinary human being.
Survived by his wife, Alessandra, and two cherished sons, Tomas and Lorenzo, Massimo’s impact reverberates through his family and the countless lives he touched. May his memory continue to guide and inspire us all. Massimo, you will be sorely missed.
