TP Lab explores the Power of Generative Leadership

In the ever-evolving landscape of leadership, the concept of generative leadership has emerged as a new and necessary way of leading in an increasingly complex, uncertain and fast-paced world. Turningpoint, notably through the TP Lab, has been working on this innovative approach for several years, and has engaged a significant number of coaches in the Turningpoint community to delve deeper into this notion.

For Turningpoint, leadership is only generative: leadership guided by a conscious and shared purpose to serve the common good. Leadership that requires self-knowledge, and finds its source and energy in altruistic, inspiring, and comprehensive cooperation. Leadership that redefines performance as a collective adventure and draws on the potential of each individual with consideration – Leadership that draws on 5 essential sources. 

These 5 sources are Inner Leadership, Purpose Leadership, Resource Leadership, Fellow Leadership and Ecosystem Leadership. Together with 25 coaches and contributors, the Turningpoint Lab workshop on November 16 focused on 3 sources: Inner Leadership, Purpose Leadership and Fellow Leadership. 

For almost a year, 3 groups, each dedicated to one source, have been working on developing tools, approaches, and exercises, that might in turn be used during our leadership and coaching programs. Throughout the day, the atmosphere was one of excitement and joy, not only to unveil the fruits of this long and significant effort but also to be part of this stimulating group of individuals working together in collective intelligence. Everyone present was actively engaged and focused on the objective: to generate (pun intended) concrete and impactful tools and exercises to deploy in our leadership development and coaching programs. 

International groups in the UK, Italy and Asia have been working on the other two sources, Resource Leadership and Ecosystem Leadership and will be addressed in another TP Lab.
