Hak Peng Chng
As an executive coach, Hak works with leaders and investors on improving leadership effectiveness in the execution of business and corporate strategy. He has 16 years of leadership and management experience in Southeast Asia, China, India, and the United States, with seven of those years focused on the private equity industry and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to coaching, Hak worked at a private equity fund where he spent a significant amount of time setting up and running an operational portfolio company in Singapore. During his 8 years with the management consultancy Bain & Company, Hak worked with CEOs and private equity funds on strategy and execution. At Bain, he was awarded honors for leadership, coaching, and mentoring. He also developed his personal leadership with the Singapore Armed Forces and the Singapore Administrative Service.
Hak holds an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD, an MA with Distinction in Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with Honors from Stanford University.
He is certified in Stakeholder-Centered Coaching (Marshall Goldsmith) as well as Executive Coaching from the Center for Creative Leadership. Hak is trained in Hogan Assessment Systems, Harrison Assessments, 360° tools, MBTI, and FIRO-B.
