Maura is the Head of Communication and a facilitator at Turningpoint, bilingual in English and French. A native of the United States, Maura arrived in France in 2007 after completing a B.A in International Relations and French at the College of William and Mary.
She began her professional career 10 years ago in Lyon as a teacher in an international school. At the same time she was highly involved with an local NGO working with children and families in underprivileged neighborhoods.
Inspired by her humanitarian and social-sector experiences, especially with regards to the development of education and life-skills projects (Nicaragua, Bosnia and Herzegovina, United States), Maura received her Master's from Ircom in Development Project Management. Her various projects have included developing an awareness campaign strategy for Handicap International, analyzing the social impact of the construction of a school in Senegal, and designing a program to teach non-violent communication skills to young children in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
With a strong background in theatre and public speaking, she has accompanied managers in their preparation for conferences and events. She has facilitated workshops for Turningpoint seminars for various clients.
Maura is certified in the Appreciative Inquiry approach.
