Biographie

Karen is an experienced executive leadership coach who has worked within the Corporate, Government, Higher Education and Not-for-Profit sectors. She has over 20 years experience working with senior teams.

As a coach, Karen focuses on the strategic objectives of the organization ensuring that the particular and unique competencies and experience of the team is maximized for the good of the organization or team. Her work with Executives, Leadership Teams & Country Management Committees helps individuals and groups to achieve strong engagement of members in the collective responsibilities of whole group, and Systemic Mapping and Constellations to unlock business challenges from system and structural perspective.

Karen was the first non-North American Chair of the global board of International Coach Federation (ICF). In this role she faced the challenges that confront many leaders - assisting a geographically and culturally diverse team to think together to shore up the future of the organisation. Being at the helm of this complex organization (20, 000 members in 110 countries) through a major change (from a largely US base to an increasingly global focus), required her to build a strong relationship between the elected Board and the Management Company/Executive that served it. Karen brings this experience of leading through complexity to assist her executive clients work together to get the best from themselves and each other for the long-term good of their organization.

In 2011 she contributed a chapter to the Handbook of Knowledge-Based Coaching published by Jossey-Bass, and was part of the committee which produced the Australian Standards Organization's Handbook of Coaching in Organizations (HB 322 – 2011).
